Sentry to Sponsor Diabetic Prograrn

Sentry Drug Stores will
sponsor an educational pro-
gram on diabetes 4-6 p.m.
Tuesday at its 12 Mile and
Evergreen store.

A representative of the
South Oakland County unit
of the American Diabetes
Association will provide in-
formation on activities of
the group, and a representa-
tive of a major supplier of
diabetic needs will discuss
diet, care and use of sup-
plies, and answer questions.

There are presently be-
tween 8 to 12 million diabet-
ics in the United States and
it is projected that by 1980
one out of every five Ameri-
cans will have the disease.
Diabetes is now the third
leading cause of death in the
U.S.
