Sommers-Miller
Troth Announced

I

Historical documents de-
picting the lives and times
of American Jewry during
the course of our nation's
development from 13 colo-
nial settlement on the eve of
independence until the
dawn of America's role as a
world power is the theme of
an exhibition now being
made available to commu-
nity organizations by the
Jewish Community Council
of Metropolitan Detroit.
Gathered and produced
by the American Jewish
Historical Society and the
National Jewish Welfare
Board, the exhibit is enti-
tled "The Jewish in Ameri-
can History, 1776-1976." It
provides accurate and in-
formative background ma-
terial for persons and or-
ganizations interested in the
history and development of
a multi-faceted religious
and ethnic community that
developed and grew up in
America's environment of
civil and religious liberty.
Forty-six black-and-white
reproductions of letters,
portraits, photographs, tile
pages and leaflets of histori-
cal interest, along with ex-
planatory captions, are
mounted on 16 large mats
suitable for public display.

Council, 962-1880.
