ADL Offers New
Movies on Israel

NEW YORK — An Israeli
family defines Zionism in
personal terms, and Chris-
tian and Moslem Arabs talk
about life as Israeli citizens
in two new 30-minute, color
film documentaries pro-
duced by the Anti-Defama-
tion League of Bnai Brith.
The latest editions in
ADL's "Dateline Israel" ra-
dio and television series, the
films — "Genesis 1882: A

Family Portrait" and "The
Arabs of Israel: In Their
Opinion" — are available to
television stations and com-
munity groups.
Arnold Forster, associate
director and general counsel
of the ADL, interviews
three generations of a fam-
ily which settled in the Jew-
ish homeland nearly a cen-
tury ago in "Genesis 1882."
In "The Arabs of Is-
rael," Moslems and Chris-
tians talk candidly with
Forster about why they
chose to stay in Israel
rather than run to Arab
countries and how they
feel about their situation
after 28 years as citizens of
the new state. The film
focuses on the rights of
Israeli Arabs and their
participation in the social,
cultural and political life
of Israel.
