-- '4"••••••••TIPMIRITRAPPTY THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS Dr. A. R. Goldfarb Research Chemist Dr. Abraham Robert Goldfarb, a biochemist in the field of allergy research, died Jan. 27 at age 68. Born in Philadelphia, Dr. Goldfarb, lived 13 years in Detroit. He was graduated from the College of the City of New York, received his master's degree from the University of Chicago and earned a PhD degree in biol- ogical chemistry at New York University. He was a member of Sigma Xi Fraternity, the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Society of Biological Che- mists. He taught and re- searched at Chicago Medi- cal School, and won a Morris L. Parker Award for his work in biochemis- try and fields of allergy. Under the direction of Dr. Piero Foa at Sinai Hospi- tal, he did research into allergy. Dr Goldfarb is listed in the international "Who's Who in Science." He resided at 19541 Cranbrook. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; a daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Adele) Tuchler of Glendale, Mo.; a brother, Samuel Roberts of Ft. Lau- derdale, Fla.; and three grandchildren. OBITUARIES HARRY M.
