JERUSALEM — Homo-
sexual relations, as well as
intercourse with animals
and unnatural relations
with the opposite sex, would
no longer be a crime under a
private Knesset members
bill tabled last week by MKs
of four different factions.
The sentence for these
acts, at present, is a maxi-
mum 10 years' imprison-
ment under paragraph 152
of the Penal Code. The sent,,
ence, has not been passed
and cases have not been
brought to Court, however,
under the Attorney-Gener-
al's standing orders to the
prosecution not to press
charges.
According to the Jerusa-
lem Post, Shulamit Aloni
(Ya'ad), Yosef Sarid
(Alignment-Labor), Akiva
Nof (Likud-Free Center)
and Meir Payil (Moked)
want the paragraph taken
off the statute book, how-
ever, since they claim its
presence there has rendered
homosexuals open to black-
mail.
Meanwhile, in Washing-
ton, the Rabbinical Coun-
cil of America lauded the
Vatican's recent reaffir-
mation of a document urg-
ing sexual morality, term-
ing the statement "an act
of courage and statesman-
ship."
The Vatican's stance con-
demning premarital sex as
homosexulity was praised
by Rabbi Fabian Schonfeld,
president of the council, and
his views were echoed by a
majority of the 500 Ortho-
dox rabbis attending the
council's annual three-day
Torah convocation.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. —
Arthritis sufferers no
longer need to despair that
there is no hope for the re-
lief from their disease — the
Leo N. Levi National Arthri-
tis Hospital here is fully
equipped to take care of the
arthritic patient's needs.
Founded 62 years ago by .
Bnai Brith, the hospital pro-
vides individual treatment
combined with a regimen of
exercise, diet and physioth-
erapy specially pro-
grammed to suit the pa-
tient's pgrticular form of
the disease.

According to Rabbi P.
Selvin Goldberg, chaplain
for the hospital, there is a
special department for chil-
dren. Therapy requires an
average stay of about three
years; during which time a
hospital tutor helps the
child keep up his school
work. The tutor is especially

cation are not synonymous.

but a good deal could be

trained to be alert to the
child's emotional needs.
Named for the late past
president of Bnai Brith,
the Leo N. Levi hospital is
located in an area famous
for the medicinal qualities
of its natural hot water.
The hospital is situated
on land donated by the U.S.
government through a spe-
cial act of Congress, and is
fully approved by the Joint
Commission on Accredita-
tion of Hospitals, by the Ar-
kansas Hospital Association
and the American Hospital
Association.
The hospital is open to all
afflicted with arthritis, and
fees are mainly based on
ability to pay.

Then, my friend, you've got to wait,
But don't allow the date to irritate.
Human's fate will compensate.
On that, there's no debate!

In the meantime don't procrastinate!
