Community Council Reslates Meeting
JNF Women Exceed Their Donor Goal
More than 800 persons
packed Cong. Shaarey Ze-
dek Tuesday for the 46th an-
nuial Women of Jewish Na-
tional Fund Donor event.
They heard Betty Silver-
man, donor chairperson,
announce that more than
$100,000 had been raised to
complete the family recrea-
tion center at ,Kiryat
Shmbna, near the Israel-
Lebanon border.
The Detroit Women of
JNF undertook to build the
recreation center in 1974
and in two years have raised
$250,000 for the project in
the town which has been the
target of murderous terror-
ist
Diane Levine, president of
Women of JNF, welcomed
the guests and praised the
women who had been re-
sponsible for the success of
the drive. Shirley Kraft, the

Edward Burke of Detroit.
The couple is residing in
Bloomfield Hills.

Suzanne Goldstein and
Norman Priebatsch were
married recently at Bnai Ja-
cob Synagogue in Wood-
bridge, Conn. The bride is
the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Sidney L. Goldstein
(Marian Goodman, formerly
of Detroit) of New Haven,
Conn. Parents of the bride-
groom are Mr. and Mrs.
Herbert Prieb'atsch of Jo-
hannesburg, South Africa.
Following a honeymoon in
the Far East, the couple will
live in Johannesburg.

group. About 3,000 con-
tributed to the effort to
build the family center.

Stollman.
Feigelman, active in the
Bnai Brith Hillel Founda-
tion at. Wayne State Univer-
sity, in the community and
on behalf of Israel, said
"The Arabs 'are the Tacists,
not Israel. The hypocritical
PLO, which has pointed to
Lebanon as an example of a
viable secular state, is now
joining in the destruction of
Lebanon. There never was
an Arab Palestinian nation.
The Arabs are spending mil-
lions to falsify history."
The Bnai Shalom Singers
were acclaimed both for
their singing and their dedi-
cation to Israel. An ensem-
ble of eight, singers and
instrumentalists, their pro-
gram was all in Hebrew.
They received a standing
ovation.
The Jewish Community
Council's second quarterly
session of the Delegate As-
sembly has been resched-
uled to convene at 8 p.m.
Feb. 5 at United Hebrew
Schools, LaMed Audito-
rium.
Ron Moore, their
spokesman, said: "The
reason we sing is to por-
tray the spirit of the people
of Israel to the world. We
believe that Israel is the
hope of the world".
Five amendments to the
Council's constitution will
be considered.
The constitutional revi-
sions concern appointment
of the Council's nominating
committee, methods of fill-
ing vacancies in executive
officer posts, length of the
