JERUSALEM — Four
suspects have been picked
up by Jerusalem police in
connection with running a
"protection" racket, accord-
ing to the 'Jerusalem Post.
The four include the three
Abergil brothers of the
Musrara quarter — Black
Panther leader Reuven and
his two brothers Ya'acov
and Eliezer. The fourth is
David Ben-Harosh.
The investigation which

led to the arrests used infor-
Mation gathered by Knesset
Member Ehud Olmert
(Likud). Olmert managed to
persuade Musrara residents
to giye statements to the
police against the suspected
extortionists.
The police said they had
statements from more than
10 persons-establishing that
Eliezer Abergil had used
threats of violence to extort
money from nightclubs.

All jewelry shown also available in 14K gold.

This was the message of
President Ephraim Katzir
which he voiced at the Jeru-
salem Theater before an
overflow audience which
had come to honor the JNF
on its 75th birthday last
week.
The theater hall was too
small for the many
hundreds of local people and
overseas Jewish leaders who
wished to attend the event,
and many were left outside.
