Mrs. Meir spoke to about 350 high school and college youth at a dialogue spon- sored-by the American Zion- ist Youth Foundation at Manhattan's Central Syn- agogue. Kissinger Sees Little Chance For Syria-Israel Negotiations and 255-1599 and, in effect, were an ex- change of populations such as has happened in other parts of the world. Zadok said that when the time comes for a peace set- tlement in the Middle East, Israel would demand full compensation- for the prop- erty and rights lost by Jews who were forced to leave Arab countries. He said that must be an integral part of every peace settlement with the Arabs. Ben-Porat was indignant over being warned by the Foreign Ministry not to ap- pear before the Security Council session where the PLO is represented on grounds that his presence could be interpreted as Is- raeli participation in the debate. Ben-Porat said his group would act independently and would present its claims before every forum, including the UN. He stated that only in that way would the world learn "about the persecutions, the torture and the confiscation of property" suffered by Jews in Arab countries. Golda Urges Youth to Go on Aliya _ WASHINGTON (JTA) — U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, at a press conference Wednesday, saw little chance for a second interim peace agreement between Syria and Israel. Kissinger said, "We, of course, support negotiations between Israel and Syria on this subject" but "Syria has declared so repeatedly that it won't negotiate alone and only in an Arab context, that I would think that a separate agreement be- tween Syria and Israel with- out involving some other parties is now less likely than would have seemed the case several months ago." Kissinger did not identify the "other parties" he had in mind but apparently he was referring to the Palestini- ans. Regarding Lebanon, the secretary said, "We have stated repeatedly and we support the independence and sovereignty of Lebanon and the right of the commu- nities within Lebanon to lead their own lives." Kissinger added, "We would believe that any out- side military intervention from whatever quarter would involve the gravest threat to peace in the Mid- dle East. We have left the parties concerned with no doubt that the U.S. would oppose any military inter- vention from whatever quarter." Kissinger will visit Mos- cow next week for talks with Soviet officials on dis- armament and other mat- ters. He is expected back in Washington by Jan. 29 in time for the visit of Premier Yitzhak Rabin. 2 2 2 2 . 2 1 1 2 2 2 2 Just Marilyps 1. 31 3 3 SPORTSWEAR BOUTIQUE Continued by Popular Demand Fantastic Inventory SALE • 3 3 3 - 3 : 2 50% to 75% OFF 3 3 • Coats • Dresses .
