Brith; was president - of the
Metropolitan Detroit Bnai
Brith Council, was a dele-
gate to the District Grand
Lodge and a delegate to the
international convention of
the Supreme Lodge.
As president, Starr
served with Detroit nota-
bles on the Russian War
Relief agency toward the
end of World War II.
Starr was honored in 1942
when he was asked to act as
translator for the former
Lubavitcher Rebbe who was
in Detroit for a visit.
A graduate of the Detroit
College of Law, Starr has
been a practicing attorney
for the past 55 years.
