PP ktietaNiii, HOLLYWOOD —, Dick Berg is the author of the screen play, "Shoot," from the novel by Douglas Fair- bairn (Doubleday), cur- rently before the cameras in Toronto, Canada, with Harvey Hart directing for producer Harvey Sherman. "Shoot" reflects a fright- ening malaise of our time, the frivolous use of firearms as a pastime and as a weapon - for a contest of strength. With cunningly deceptive calmness, the author tells us of a closely-knit group of war veterans, solid family men in their small commu- nity, who - appear without malice when they go about their weekend pleasure of hunting to overcome an aw- fully dull existence. _ En route to their favorite wooded location, they en- counter another group - across the river dressed in identical camouflage fatigues. We learn nothing about the others; they re- main the enemy, faceless and unidentifiable. Both sides are quick 'on the trig- ger; inevitably, someone drops dead. Cliff Robertson portrays the central character of the bully who sets the tragic events in motion. Ernest Borgnine is his side-kick and voice of his conscience — yet one who 0 at lirunettil PLAN A • PARTY FAVORS • HORS D'OEUVRES • FULL COURSE MEAL (choose from. 4 special holiday entrees) • ALL YOU CAN DRINK • DANCING TO THE DON FARRAH TRIO per coUple . • SPLIT OF CHAMPAGNE PLAN B THE SAME AS PLAN A N PLUS DOUBLE ACCOMMODATIONS AT RAMADA INN, 1 /2 Mile Aviay per couple $ 75 nitiet t r MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS ' - NOW!! `Rabbi Jacob' Film Returns to Berkley Seafood & Italian Villa "The Mad Adventures of Rabbi Jacob," returned by popular demand, will be shown this week at the Berkley Theater.
