Rabasa had said earlier
during his visit that anyone
witnessing the "absolute
tolerance" practiced by Is-
rael in Jerusalem must un-
derstand that there can be
no racism here. •
Among the practical ben-
efits to result from Rabasa's
visit is the possibility of air-
line links between the two
countries.
A delegation of govt. offi-
cials and El Al men will visit
Mexico shortly. Informed
sources said Israel hoped for

Qualified observers here
cite several reasons for
Mexico's change of heart:
the decision to vote for the
resolution was, it is relia-

Luis Echeverria's own,
taken against the advice of
all his aides. Since the
vote, various aides and

NEW YORK — The New
York Times reports that
Simon Wiesenthal has
dropped his slander suit
against Chancellor Bruno
Kreisky, o Austria. Observ-
ers said that both men had
backed down in their five-
year feud.
In October the Socialist
Chacellor, an agnostic of
Jewish descent, accused
Wiesenthal of 'using "Mafia
methods" and "character
assassination" in charging
Friedrich Peter, head of the
rightwing Freedom Party,
with membership in. a
World War II special SS bri-
gade that killed thousands
of Jews.
Five years earlier Kreisky
had called Wiesenthal "a
Jewish fascist."
