Rabbi Fram's 80th Birthday
Honored by Temple Israel

Rabbi Leon Fram will be
the special honoree at Youth
Group Sabbath Services of
Temple Israel at 8:30 p.m.
today.
Founding rabbi of Temple
Israel, Rabbi Fram will
mark his 80th birthday, and
the youth of the congrega-
tion will present an original
service in his honor.

Beth Achim Joins
Zionist Federation

Harry Laker, president of
Cong. Seth Achim, and
Rabbi Milton Arm, spiritual
leader, announce the con-
gregation is joining the De-
it Zionist Federation as a
porate affiliate.
Beth Achiin is the first-
congregation to become affi-
liated with the American
Zionist Federation through
its Detroit branch, since the
UN anti-Zionist resolution.
"Beth Achim responded
to the UN in a positive act,"
said G. Vernon Leopold,
president of the DZF. "By
joining the Detroit Zionist-
Federation Beth Achim
pledged itself to an active
role as a Zionist in the com-
munity."
