He especially strives to

"Bread Sculpture' Book Is Available

A new paperback, just
issued by 101 Productions
(San Francisco) is gaining
popular appeal.
"Bread Sculpture — The
Edible Art" by Ann Wise-
man contains detailed
"blueprints" for making 22
sculptures, ranging from a
green spinach-dough mer-
maid to "hippopumper-
nickel" bread and a mena-
gerie including snake rolls,
a dragon ring, owls, lions,
crocodiles, doves and more.

Directions accompanying
Mrs. Wisemen's drawings
are all hand lettered.
Basic instructions on
breadmaking are embel-
lished with guidelines for
inventing dough and decor-
ating ideas.
