raeli film "The Gift of Life"
is the recipient of the 1975
Silver Award given by the
International Film and TV
Festival of New York.
Filmed on location in Is-
rael, "The Gift of Life" is a
documentary sound and
color 16mm film. It is a rec-
ord of the life-giving na-
tional blood services pro-
vided by Magen David
Adorn.
The film is available for
nationwide viewing to
schools, organizations and
the general public at large.
It can be obtained on a free
loan basis from the National
Office of American Red

Meanwhile, "Choose
Life," a film a-bout Yom
Kippur for television- and
group showings, featuring
Gregor Piatigorsky, world
renowned cellist, produced
by the Jewish Cautauqua
Society, won major
awards in two interna-
tional film festivals.
The 18th annual New
York International Film
and TV Festival awarded its
gold medal to "Choose Life"
for the best film in its Reli-
gious Themes Category and
its silver medal for TV Pub-
lic Service Programs.
The eighth annual Film
Festival of the Americas,
moved this year from At-
lanta to St. Thomas,
awarded the film its bronze
medal in the Religion and
Ethics Category.
