Actively involved in Campaign activities for several years, Wachler was a 1975 pre-Campaign associate chairman, a 1974 pre-Campaign vice chair- man, and was chairman of the Mercantile Division. Wachler, a board member of the DSG, was chairman of its Stag Day in Septem- ber. He is a director of the Jewish Community Center, and a past director of the Fresh Air Society and the Hebrew Free Loan Associa- tion. Charities to Hold Annual Meeting The United Jewish Chari- ties will hold its 76th annual meeting 8 p.m. Dec. 1 in the main hall of the new Jewish Community Center, 6600 W. Maple, West Bloomfield. According to UJC presi- dent Alfred L. Deutsch, it's the first communal meeting to be held at the Center, which is not yet formally open. Deutsch will present the Charities' annual report. JWF-UJC Endowm - ent 'Fund co-chairman Milton J. Miller and Samuel Schiff will outline the Fund's activ- ities and accomplishments during the past year. The election of UJC di- rectors and a vote on amendments to the by- laws are also part of the business agenda. The Jewish Welfare Fed- eration will also have a board of governors meeting and election of officers as well that evening. During the -Federation meeting, three Young Leadership Awards will be presented by ' JWF president Mandell L. Berman to this year's recipi- ents. DSG Election - Slated Today The Detroit Service Group of the Jewish Wel- fare Federation will elect of- ficers for 1976-7 at noon to- day in the Fred M. Butzel Memorial Building. Votes on four amend- ments to the DSG by-laws are also on the business agenda, according to Arthur Howard, DSG president. The meeting will include a report by Federation Women's Division Cam- paign chairman Ruth K.
