Arabs Warned to Shun Medicine Due

MIAMI — The following
address was broadcast in
March on WEVD in New'
York by Rabbi Jacob J.
Hecht and reprinted last
month in the Miami Herald.
The rabbi's talk is entitled
"My Advice to the Arabs."
Since it is imperative that
all loyal Arabs avoid any
and all contact with Jewish
influences, the following
instructions, issued by
embers of the Arab
eague must be strictly fol-
lowed:

AARON COPLAND

Composer Aaron Copland
celebrated his 75th birthday
Nov. 7, and concerts in his
honor were staged last week
in New York by the Juilliard
School and the MacDowell
Colony -- a retreat for art-
ists in New Hampshire
which Copland has sup-
ported and served as presi-
dent.
Critics reminiscing about
his contributions to Ameri-
can music cited the two
sides of Copland — his pop-
ular numbers such as
"Appalachian Spring" and
"Billy the Kid," and his
more classical pieces such as
"Connotations" and Piano
Variations.
Speaking from his Peek,
skill, N.Y. home, Copland
said, "Music can be of var-
ious kinds — I love variety."

opened an art gallery in
London.
Tammuz, a noted Hebrew
writer and literary editor of
Ha'aretz, described the alle-
gations, aired in the Knesset
by Labor MK Yosef Sarid,
as "malice or a practical
