Michael Meeropol, author
and son of Ethel and Julius
Rosenberg, will appear at
Detroit Town Hall 11 a.m.
Dec. 3 at the Fisher Theater.
Meeropol is the co-author
of the best-selling book "The
Legacy of Ethel and Julius
Rosenberg" which deals
with the years of his par-
ents turbulent trial and sub-
sequent execution. Tickets
will be available at the door.
Meanwhile, it was re-
vealed in New York that the
late FBI director, J. Edgar
Hoover and other top law
enforcement officials rec-
ommended mercy for Mrs.
Rosenberg prior to her exe-
cution.

scheduled three major
sports attractions for the
month of December.
On Dec. 14, the USSR Na-
tional Gymnastic Team,
featuring Olga Korbut and
other Olympic medal win-
ners, will present a program
of gymnastic routines.
Showtime is 2 p.m.
The Harlem Globetrot-
ters will take on the New
Jersey Reds in two games, 2
and 8 p.m. Dec. 27 at Olym-
pia.

The third major event
will be the 11th annual
Great Lakes Invitational
College Tournament to be
