is always quoting the Tal-
mud as "the only book I've
read." Yet, he remains
aware and able to cope
with the modern world.

Harry, on the other hand,
is searching for the "get rich
quick" scheme. Utilizing sel-
fish means, he constantly
seeks ways to better him-
self, while at the same time
criticizing his family.
While the movie is satis-
fying to this viewer, it is un-
fortunate that Allan failed
to develop the roles of sev-
eral minor characters which
would have added depth to
the movie.
"Lies My Father Told Me"
is a special kind of motion
picture, full of love and
many other emotions which
will appeal to all ages. Par-
ents, as well as their chil-
dren, should see this movie
together for a warm experi-
ence.
