BBYO Activities

Planning has begun for
the annual Michigan BBYO
Regional Convention, which
will take place this year
Dec. 24-29 at the Jewish
Community Center. This
year's theme is "The Jewish
Contribution to America,"
and the convention's slogan
is "Happy Birthday, Amer-
ica! How Are You? Don't
You Know Me, I'm Your Na-
tive Son . . ." Overall coor-
dinators for the convention
are Jane Herman of Savage
BBG and Mitchell Weiner of
Rose AZA.
Rose AZA will hold a
road rally Saturday, meet-
ing 7:30 p.m. at the Temple
Emanu-El parking lot,
14450 West 10 Mile, Oak
Park. The cost is nominal
and prizes will be given to
the winning entrants.

Theme Changed

The Jewish Community
Center's creative writing
group has changed the
theme of its essay contest
from "My Favorite Memory
of the Hanna Schloss Build-
ing" to "My Memories of the
Jewish Community Center."
