I' Local Histadrut Drive Begins
The Israel Histadrut
Campaign of Metropolitan
Detroit began its 1975-76
campaign last week with its
annual conference.
Dr. Berl Frymer, director
of culture and education for
Histadrut addressed the
meeting, and was intro-
duced by conference chair-
man Morris Lifshay.
Local chairman Morris
Lieberman summarized the
1975 activities and Al Mi-
chaels gave a campaign re-
port.
Elected 1975-76 Histadrut
campaign officers were:
chairman, Morris A. Lif-
shay; treasurer, Nathan P.
Rossen; secretary, Mrs. Ger-
ald Goldberg; vice chairmen,
Norman Cottler, Philip D.
Goldstein, Hyman Lipsitz,
Abram Medow, Steve Me-

Videotape Service Protects
Homeowners After Fire, Theft
A new service is now
available from the Video-
gard Corp. in Farmington,
carrying the endorsement of
insurance companies, adjus-
ters and agencies. Using
portable equipment, a home
and all possessions are vi-
deotaped. in color.
Entire rooms are shown,
with close-up shots of indi-
vidual pieces of furniture,
paintings, everyting — in-
cluding the hundreds of
small items that are accu-
mulated over the years. All
drawers, cabinets and clos-
ets are opened to show con-
tents in considerable detail.
The homeowner may de-
scribe the items verbally,
giving pertinent informa-
tion that may be useful in
case of a loss. The voice is
picked up by a sensitive mi-
crophone built into the color
camera.
When the videotaping is
completed, a playback on
the home TV set assures
that all is in order. The
tape is sealed and as long

announces that this year's
Israel Bond Dinner-Dance
for the organization will be
held Nov. 22 at Cong. Bnai
Moshe. Morris Flatt, presi-
"Match it for Music Hall,"
a joint fund-raising event
for the Music Hall Center
for the Performing Arts by
the Music Hall Association
and Gorman's Gallery of
Fine Furniture, will be held
7:30 to 11 p.m. Tuesday at
Gorman's Gallery.
It will include a star-stud-
ded wine party, local per-
sonalities, entertainment,
music, a surprise European
performer, and a charity
auction.
The auction, conducted by
Bill Kennedy, is to begin at
9 p.m. Articles to be put on
the block will include per-
sonal items donated by the
celebrities, merchandise
from Gorman's Gallery, a
piano stool autographed by
songwriter Sammy Cahn,
and a variety of other items.
Proceeds will be donated to
the Music Hall. There is a
charge, and the public is in-
vited.
Chairman for the dinner
is Henry Dorfman. His co-
chairman is Arnold Ein-
horn. Music for the dinner-
dance will be provided by
Eric Rosenow and his Conti-
