Bnai Israel-Beth Yehuda will hold its annual election meeting 8 p.m. Tuesday in the synagogue. A slate of candidates for congregational offices has been prepared by the Nomi- nating committee and will be presented at the meeting. Nominations from the floor also will be accepted. Re- freshments will be served. in The study of the tractate "Sabbath." On Saturdays, an hour before Mincha services, Rabbi Icek Kuperman con- ducts a talmudic studies class in the tractate "Chagiga." This is intended for those who have had some experience in the study of Talmud. The class is conducted in Yiddish. A course is given at the same time by Rabbi Israel I. Rockove in Shulchan Arukh. This course is conducted in English. All the classes are open to the public at no charge. Synagogue Named as Historic Site Cong. Beth El of Traverse City has been added to the state register of historic sites. According to the congre- gation's president Ellen Fiv- enson, the synagogue build- ing is the oldest in the state still in use. In honor of the nation's Bicentennial, a plaque will be unveiled in summer at the synagogue.
