`Trees for Hanuka'
Urges JNF Chief

Mark E. Schlussel, presi-
dent of the Jewish National
Fund of Greater Detroit,
urges the community to
consider trees for Israel
when buying Hanuka gifts.
This year, Jewish Na-
tional Fund, marking its
75th anniversary, is nearing
its goal of completing the
planting of 150,000,000
trees. Trees planted as gifts
through JNF, provide shade,
aid in drainage, furnish tim- •
ber and aid in altering the
very climate of the land.
They also provide a "se-
curity belt" during war-
times.
To purchase trees call the
JNF office, 968-0820.
