NEW YORK — A new
milestone in the recording
of Jewish history is now
ready after long months of
preparation by The Judaic
Heritage Society — The
Medallic History of the Jew-
ish People In Our Time.
The program is devoted to
the recording of contempo-
rary Jewish history in the
form of a pictorial diary in
metal of the events and per-
sonalities shaping Jewish
life today.
The medals are to be is-
sued one a month. Subscrip-
tions are offered on an an-
nual basis of 12 medals,
renewable each year. Each
medal will be accompanied
by historical notes dealing
with the subject commemo-
rated.
The Medallic History of
the Jewish People In Our
Time is available in solid
14-karat gold (an edition of
10,000). Each medal in, the
series will be designed and
sculpted by a prominent
artist commissioned by The
Judaic Heritage Society.
To commemorate Abba
Eban's participation in this
program, The Judaic Heri-
tage Society is creating a
special edition of Gilroy
Roberts' Abba Eban Peace
Medal. For information,

tary, the Judaic Heritage

JERUSALEM (JTA) —
The three-man committee
set up to investigate the dis-
pute between Avraham
Shenker, head of the World
Zionist Organization infor-
mation and organization
department, and Moshe Gil-
boa, one of his two deputies,
reported that the dispute
was "not ideological, but
personal."
The committee, headed by
Keren Heyesod chief Ezra
Shapiro, recommended that
"an effort be made" for Gil-
boa to continue working in
the department "subor-
dinate to, and according to
the instructions of
Shenker."
Shenker had asked that
Gilboa be shifted because
relations between them had
deteriorated drastically.
Gilboa had contended that
the dispute stemmed from
the leftist trends within the
department, trends which
he could not accept. Shenker
is a member of Mapam.
Shenker said that while
consensus guided Zionist
information activity, the
department functioned in a
pluralistic manner because
information campaigns had
to be adapted to conditions
in each country and there
can be no monolithic infor-
mation campaign.
