mistice Day," Nov. 11, the
department will join the
parade in downtown De-
troit. Car pools will form at
7 p.m. at the JWV home.

double anniversary to cele-
brate this year — the 51st
anniversary of the Samuel
G. Keywell Co., his family's
scrap metals firm, and his
51st year with that firm.
Keywell and his brother,
the late Sam-
uel G. Key-
well, began in
the scrap
business in
1924 "with an
old 1914
Packard
truck and al-
ligator
KEYWELL
shears." The
company now spans over 27
acres and uses the most
modern scrap baling, bri-
quetting and crane equip-
ment and deals internation-
ally as one of the largest
specialty scrap metal firms
in the country.
According to Keywell,
his company is not an ordi-
nary scrap yard. Half of

Inc., importer, packager and
marketer of standard nuts,
bolts and screws and a sup-
plier of special machinery
and dies for the fastener
industry. He also is chair-
man of Hancock Steel and
Bear-Kat, all of which are
family-owned.
