Voters, Founders Society of
the Detroit Institute of
Arts, Chamber Music So-
ciety, Hadassah, National
Council of Jewish Women,
Jewish Welfare Federation
and the auxiliaries of Sinai
and Harper Hospitals, this
is the first time she has run
for a public office.

Asked what she pro-
posed if elected Tuesday,
Mrs. Jaffe said, "This city
has progressed tremen-
dously, but there are cer-
tain changes that need to
be made such as taking
better care of the citizenry
and providing both inter-
and intra-city transporta-
tion. We need access to
other parts of the metro-
politan area. Southfield
needs to change from a
bedroom community to one
that is more active in ur-
ban affairs.

"It's the quality of life
here that counts, and it's
that quality that I want to
work to protect and preserve
as a member of the South-
field City Council," Mrs.
Jaffe stated.
