went to Israel to fight in

same synagogue in W. Va
. . . Rabbi Cooper gave the
invocations for John F. Ken-
nedy . . . once when he vis-
ited W. Va. during the pri-
maries and the other during
another visit as president.

Wayne State University's
Hilberry Theater Nvill pre-
sent George Bernard Shaw's
"The Devil's Disciple" 8:30
p.m. Nov. 12. The melod-
rama will be presented Nov.
13 and 15 and will continue
in repertory through Febru-
ary.
Also slated for production
this season ire: "Of Mice
and Men," "Death of a
Salesman," "The Lady from
Maxim's," "As You Like It,"
"The Miser" and "The Time
of Your Life."

Mr. and Mrs. Slomo
Naftaly of Herzlia, Israel,
brother and sister-in-law of
Helen Klein were in Detroit
this week to attend the Bar
Mitzva of Mrs.' Klein's
grandson, Ralph Paul Naf-
taly, at Cong. Bnai Moshe.
The Bar Mitzva is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ro-
land Naftaly.

NEW YORK — Nearly
100 leaders of the American
Jewish Congress National
Women's Division and their
husbands will leave for Is-
rael Saturday on a 10-day
mission to mark Interna-
tional Women's Year with
their counterparts in the
Jewish state.
While in Israel, the Amer-
ican Jewish Congress lead-
ers will meet with Israeli
leaders and present an
award to Lea Rabin, wife of
Prime Minister.. Yitzhak
Rabin, as "International
Woman of the Year."
