Adat Shalom's Maskit Show
to Feature Designer Clothing

Clothing, ranging from
evening wear to casual at-
tire, will be among items
featured at the Israel Mas,
kit Showcase '76 slated Nov.
2-5 at Adat Shalom Syn-
agogue.
Ruth Dayan, president
and founder of Maskit, will
present a fashion show 1
p.m. Nov. 3. Models include
Geri Chusid, Susan Bindes,
Joy Nachman, Barbara Wil-
lis, Susan Ross, Rochelle
Leiberman, Sandy Gold-
smith, Connie Kopald,
Sharon Sukenic, Frances
Ezrack, Linda Schaeffer
and Bobbie Toll. Elaine Bar-
nett is chairman.

Gold and silver jewelry

children's fashions, also will
be displayed.

of International Women's
Year the Women's Division
of American Jewish Con-
gress has scheduled a Mis-
sion to Israel, Nov. 1-11.
This special leadership mis-
sion is designed to afford a
searching examination of
the role and status of
women in all sectors of Is-
raeli life.
It will also include in-
depth discussions with Is-
rael's political, economic
and academic leaders, meet-
ings with leading Israeli
personalities, visits to army
units in the field as well as
conversations with Israeli
creative and performing art-
ists in their own setting.
Programs are.arranged at
the Louise Wise Youth Hos-
tel which is supported fi-
nancially by the Women's
Division. -
Rose Schwartz, past pres-
ident of the Detroit Worn-
en's Division and a national
vice president, will repre-
sent the Michigan Region.

Low-Cal Zucchini

Many people are weight-
2onscious in the foods they
select, yet they don't like to
give up good taste just for
the sake of saving calories.
I'd like to recommend a low-
calorie vegetable dish that is
also quite easy to prepare.

1 large zucchini squash (peeled or un-
peeled)
2 medium onions (cut in rings)
1 large tomato (cut in eighths)
1 4-oz. can mushrooms, drained
r tbsp. soy sauce
1 /2 tsp. garlic powder
Cut zucchini and onions in thin
slices. Put in a hot teflon fry pan. Cook
on a low heat about 5 minutes, stir-
ring occassionally. Add tomato and
mushrooms. Cook on low heat about
10 minutes, while stirring. Add soy
sauce and garlic powder and simmer
about five minutes. Serves 4.
