Bereaved Need Mourners Study Editor, The Jewish News: In many synagogues, mourners merely come and wait for their time to say Kadish. Some sit holding their prayer books without uttering even a word. I suggest that the commu- nity designate a place where these mourners could study Jewish tradition, learn about Jewish sources and fulfull their requirements for prayer and saying Ka- dish. They would know a great deal more than simply standing and saying Kadish. The year of mourning should be an opportunity for "learning" as well as "saying."
