Classes are slated Oct. 22, 29, Nov. 5, 12, Dec. 3, 10 and 17. There will be a five-week break between semesters. The second semester will be- gin Jan. 28. Registration is limited to 45 participants, and will be accepted for either one or both semesters. BB Has Programs for Bicentennial WASHINGTON — Bnai Brith will celebrate the American Bicentennial with a series of programs focus- ing on the development of Jewish communal life in this country. A year-long observance will begin formally Oct. 12 with ceremonies on the site of New York's lower East Side where Bnai Brith was founded in 1843. In other communities, Bnai Brith Sabbath will be celebrated this month at scores of temples and syn- agogues. Activities ranging from collecting oral histories and researching small-town Jewish life to a rededication of the Statue of Religious Liberty — a Bnai Brith gift to the nation during the 1876 centennial — are - being arranged by a joint Bnai Brith-Bnai Brith Women Bicentennial committee.
