Miss Dell vas graduated
from Eastern Michigan Uni-
versity with a BS degree in
elementary education. Her

the University of Michigan's
medical school.

JNF Unit to Cite Mrs. Posen for Bonds

Lihhie Posen, a promi-
nent member of the Women
of Jewish National Fund
who is active in the Israel
Bond campaign, will he hon-
ored at an Israel Bonds -
Women of Jewish National
Fund Luncheon Oct. 9 at
Adat Shalom Synagogue,
announced Mrs. Louis Lev-
ine, president of the Women
of JNF.
Mrs. Posen has a life
membership in Hadassah
and JNF. One of her special
interests is the Matilda
Schecter Home for Girls in
New York, connected with
the Jewish Theological Sem-
inary.
In 1965, she was responsi-
He for helping to establish
the first Women of JNF for-
est in Israel, which was
planted by Norman Allan of
Southfield; and she has held
almost every office in
Women of JNF including
that of president.
She and her husband
have been to Israel a num-
ber of times; the first three
visits were with the JNF
missions. Mrs. Posen was
a member of the Detroit
delegation to the dedica-
tion of the Kennedy Monu-
ment in July 1966.
In 1969, they planted
trees in the John F. Ken-
nedy Peace Forest. The en-
tire family dedicated the Al-
bert and Libbie Posen
Family Forest. Joining
them were their son-in-law
and daughter, Mr. and Mrs.
Sheldon (Geraldine)
Schwartz, and their grand-
children Robert and Esther.
It was also the occasion of a
double simha, since the
Schwartz family planted a

Dr. and Mrs. David
Marks, of Kenosha Ave.,
Oak Park, will be honored
by their children, Dr. and
Mrs. Arvin Bennish of
Southfield, Florence Marks-
Wedes of Oak Park, and
their four grandchildren at
the Raleigh House Sunday
on their 50th anniversary.
Dr. and Mrs. Marks both
immigrated from Russia
just prior to World War I,
and are charter members of
Branch 4, Labor Zionist Al-
liance.
She has been active in De-
troit Pioneer Women for
more than 40 years, and Dr.
Marks is a member of
Craftsman Lodge. Dr.
Marks, a registered phar-
macist and veterinarian,
served as a city, state and
federal meat inspector from
