among Jewish cooks for its
light, delicate flavor.
HONEY-NUT PASTRY
Southern Belle English Walnuts
teaspoon grated lemon peel
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 package (2-ounce) strudel
dough sheets
1/2 cup Planters Peanut Oil
1/2 cup water
1 /) cup honey

Belle English Walnuts, lemon peel
and cinnamon. Mix well; set
aside.
Cut strudel dough sheets into
quarters. Overlap 2 quarters to
cover bottom of an oiled 13 x
9-inch baking pan. Drizzle with
some of the Planters Peanut Oil.
Repeat with 2 more quarters.
Sprinkle 1/3 cup walnut mixture
over dough. Continue to form lay-
ers of strudel dough drizzled with
oil and walnut mixture until 4
quarter sheets strudel dough re-
main. Form last layers of dough
and brush each with oil. Cut pas-
try into -1 lengthwise stripes. Cut
each strip into 4 diamond shapes.
Pour on any remaining oil over
all.
Bake at 350°F. about 20 min-
utes, or until golden.
Meanwhile, combine water and
