Berman. The committee reviews policy and is the central in- surance authority for Fed- eration's member agencies. Among the committee's innovative programs under Siegel's chairmanship is a Workmen's Compensation Fund which has become a model program in Michigan. Siegel, who is a director of the United Jewish Chari- ties, was presented with a special award at the UJC meeting at which his resig- nation from the chairman- ship was announced. Agree is retiring after 13 years on the building com- mittee. Dennis J. Rice has been named executive director of Cong. Shaarey Zedek. Rice has been director of both Metropolitan Detroit and Michigan Councils of Bnai Brith for the past three years. He is a past-president of the Albert D. Tucker Lodge of Bnai Brith and held nu- merous offices and commit- tee chairmanships in the Metropolitan Detroit Coun- cil.
