3rd Trip to Israel

Missionary Alliance Church
in Dearborn, recently com-
pleted- their third trip to Is-
rael with members of their
congregation.

Jewish Center Cornerstone Laying
Marks Last Stage of Completion

"Israel extends a special
courtesy to visitors — never
before have we felt such
warmth anywhere."

The couple said they
would love to live in Israel
and are willing to "do any-
thing" to promote the coun-
try. Already planning their
next trip to Israel, the Gam-
mons claim, "Israel is a
beautiful country with well-
dedicated people."

program was the placing of
a specially constructed time
capsule behind the corner-
stone.

Each member-agency of
the Federation was repre-
sented - during this portion
of the ceremony which in-
volved the placing of docu-
ments outlining each agen-
cy's purposes and objectives.

Edward C. Levy, one of
a dozen major donors to
the new building in whose
names various portions
are designated, revealed
the cornerstone at the end
of the ceremony.

The new Maple-Drake
Jewish Community Center
is now in its final stages of
construction, and the- offi-
cial opening of the building
is scheduled for Jan. 1, 1976.
Construction on the
120-acre site began two
years ago, and when corn- -
pleted in January, the new
facility will serve all of Met-
ropolitan Detroit, Flint,
Ann - Arbor and the sur-
rounding communities.

The weekdays' schedule
remains as usual: Mondays-
Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
