Following the dedication, a community leader's recep- tion vas held at the Shera- ton-Southfield Hotel. The reception marked the establishment of a Chabad House in Ann Ar- bor. The building will serve as a Jewish student center on the University of Michigan campus, offer- ing kosher food, counsel- ing services and other programs of the Chabad- Lubavitch services. Irwin I. Cohn, chairman of the• reception committee and of Detroit Lubavitch, introduced the main speaker, Rabbi Zalman I. Posner of Nashville. Scholar and exponent of Hassidism, Rabbi Posner has been spiritual leader of Cong. She'arith Israel in Nashville since 1948. The rabbi said that the Ann Arbor Chabad House translates the symbol of the Torah into reality. He said that the Jewish youth of today need someone to turn to in order to find their lost identity, and the Chabad House will offer that some- one. Paul Zuckerman intro- duced Mrs. Schaver by stat- ing that what happens to one Jew happens to all of us. "Mrs. Schaver has helped Jews all over — she proved the saying 'we are one'." A candelabrum with seven branches representing the various Lubavitch insti- tutions was presented to Mrs. Sc-haver. Accepting the gift, Mrs. Schaver said that the Torah DESSERT FANTASIES . . .
