the function and partici-
pants in the program in-
eluded Lewis Grossman,
David Hermelin and Irwin
Green.
The .principal speaker was
Leonard Garment, former
general counsel to President
Nixon, who last week was
named by President Ford to
represent the United States
on the United Nations Eco-
nomic and Social Council.
Louis and Harold Berry,
responding to the encomia
honoring them with the
AJCommittee awards, ex-
pressed gratitude for oppor-
tunities to serve the commu-
nity - and affirmed
rededication to the needs of
Jewry. Both affirmed their
special elation that a father-
son team should thus be
honored.
