At 6 p.m. On Wednesday, June 11, 1975,
mem-
bers of Congregation B'nai David will have the opportunity to honor a
man who has earned the love, respect and admiration of the Jewish Com-
munity in Detroit and in Eretz Yisroel.
There will be a procedure distinct from that of any other dinner. One of
the highlights of the evening will be the kindling of the Israel Menorah of
Statehood, which was lit by President Zalman Shazar, of blessed memory,
during a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the State of Israel.
Julius Rotenberg, patriarch of Congregation B'nai David and stalwart of
the Israel Bond campaign since its inception, will be presented with the
coveted David Ben-Gurion Award by His Excellency, Ambassador Michael
Comay.
A Corps of Patron Hosts has been formed to assure that the evening is a
success. They will compile The Israel Book of Honor to be presented to Mr.
Rotenberg at the Dinner.
The Dinner of State is under the distinguished Patronage of Sirncha Dinitz,
the Ambassador of Israel to the United States.
In addition, a scroll has just arrived from Israel which will bear the names
of those belonging to the Shomrei Yisroel Family.
