Organized in 1936 and chartered in 1940. the group began with six 'young women who banned to- gether to raise funds for the needy. One of the group's first projects was to raise funds for an injured child needing an' eye transplant. The women have donated funds to Bicur Cholem pro- jects in Israel, the Israel Federation Women Annual Meeting to Feature Multi-Media Program Emergency Fund, Mo'os Hitim, Juvenile Diabetes League and has helped pro- vide funds for kosher foods and sedorim for state hospi- tal patients. Audio visual machines also have been provided for patients at Beaumont Hospital. Mrs. Abe Bookstein is in charge of the donor, and Mrs. Sam Moscow is presi- dent of the organization.
