A total of 80 delegates will attend from the Michigan Region. The goal of this conven- tion will be to adopt man- dates and plan membership, financial and educational campaigns that will insure and increase ORT's role as the vocational training pro- gram of the Jewish people and as a movement in Jew- ish life here in the United States and overseas. Kenneth W. Stein, lec- turer in the department of history, University of Michi- gan and curriculum coordi- nator for development of secondary school material on the Near East under the auspides of The Center for Near Eastern and North African Studies at U-M, will deliver a major address on "The Current Situation in the Near East" on Monday.
