A member' of Cong. Bnai David for more than 40 years, Rotenberg was re- sponsible for the building of the Bnai David ,social hall, which is named for him. He also is on the synagogue's board of trustees. Rotenberg is- a member of the City of Hope, Pisgah Lodge of Bnai Brith and the Jewish National Fund. In Israel, he has built a school, an auditorium in Yeshiva Adorom in Rehovot, a room in Bar-Ilan University, a room in the Jerusalem Or- phanage Home for Girls and a room in the Lubavitch Yeshiva. Barmore spent many years in Poland where he studied the life and death of Jews in the labor camp at Plashaw. His PhD thesis ex- tends this study to several concentration camps in Po- land.
