Israeli Press Consul Keinan
to Talk at Histadrut Campaign

Yaacov Keinan, consul for
press and information at
the Israel Consulate in Chi-
cago, will be the guest
speaker at the last official
rally of the current Histad-
rut campaign 10:30 a.m.
Sunday at the Labor Zionist
Institute. A breakfast will
be served and no reserva-
tions are necessary.
Keinan was born and edu-
cated in London, England.
He is a graduate of the Lon-
don School of Economics.

1958.

current critical situation for
Israel evolving from an ero-
sion of support in some
quarters and the policy of
reassessment adopted in the
new Ford-Kissinger pro-
gram.

Technion is one of Israel's
most important educational
facilities. Fully two-thirds
of Israel's engineers and

architects were trained on
the 300 acre campus located
in the hills of Mt. Carmel.
One of the free world's 10
largest institutions of its
kind, Technion is Israel's
oldest university having
been founded in 1924. The
school offers a wide range of
disciplines including engi-
neering, science, architec-
ture and town planning,
general studies and teacher

training. The university's
medical school has been op-
erational since 1971 and is
affiliated with the Rambam
Medical Center in Haifa.

Over 8,000 students are
currently enrolled in the

JULIUS ROTENBERG

Julius Rotenberg, noted
industrialist and humani-
tarian, will be honored by
Cong. Bnai David on behalf
of State of Israel Bonds
June 11 in the synagogue.
A native of Rovno, Russia,
Rotenberg came to the U.S.
in 1914. He is president of
the General Mills Supply
Co.

A member' of Cong. Bnai
David for more than 40
years, Rotenberg was re-
sponsible for the building of
the Bnai David ,social hall,
which is named for him. He
also is on the synagogue's
board of trustees.

Rotenberg is- a member of
the City of Hope, Pisgah
Lodge of Bnai Brith and the
Jewish National Fund. In
Israel, he has built a school,
an auditorium in Yeshiva
Adorom in Rehovot, a room
in Bar-Ilan University, a
room in the Jerusalem Or-
phanage Home for Girls and
a room in the Lubavitch
Yeshiva.
