Harold Berry was elected
president of Cong. Shaarey
Zedek this past week at the
synagogue's 114th annual
election meeting.
Other officers are Wil-
liam Davidson and Leonard
Baron, vice presidents;
Harvey Weisberg, trea-
surer; and David Hermelin,
secretary.
Elected to serve their sec-
ond three-year term on the
board of directors were Paul
Borman, Milford Nemer,
Myron Milgrom, A. Alfred
Taubman and Harold Vic-
tor. Serving their first
three-year terms are Henry
Dorfman and Walter Field.
Rhoda Baruch, Marvin
Fleischman, Dr. Ellis Rif-
kin and Dr. Samuel Stul-
berg were elected to serve
two-year terms, and Ar-
thur J. Robinson elected to
serve a one-year term.

Registration continues
for the 1975 Summer Ulpan,
an intensive Hebrew lan-
guage learning program
conducted by the Jewish
Community Center. The
Ulpan is open to high school
students, college students,
and all adults, and is pri-
marily designed for those
who have little or no prior
knowledge of the Hebrew
language.
Ulpan graduates may be
eligible to receive high
school language credit for
course participation. For

Plains 'Superwalk'

The Metropolitan Detroit
March of Dimes has kicked
off its fifth annual Walk-A-
Thon, now called Superwalk
'75.

Last year, 30,000 walkers
raised $650,000 for the
March of Dimes' research
and medical programs to
combat birth defects. The
20-mile walk is scheduled
for May 4.
Celebrities and public fig-
ures will participate in the
walk and many school
bands will provide enter-
tainment. Checkpoints will
have volunteer foot and
medical service available.
Participants must register
to obtain sponsor forms by
calling the March of Dimes,
