Israeli Star Rivka Raz to Give
Independence Week Concert

will benefit the handi-

be served, and a social will
follow.

The Jewish Community
Center's annual Israel Inde-
pendence Week celebration
will feature Israeli stage
and singing star Rivka Raz,
in concert, as well as per-
formances of the Center
Symphony Orchestra, a
memorial service, week-long
art show, guest speakers
and other events.
Miss Raz will appear in
concert 7:30 p.m. April 13 in
the Aaron DeRoy Theatre.
She starred in more than
600 performances of "My
Fair Lady" in Israel, has

Yizkor prayer, choir per-
formances, and the English
and Hebrew reading of the
dramatic poem "Silver Plat-
ter" by Nathan Alterman.
Following the 30-minute
memorial service, "The
Fragrance of Israel," a se-
ries of short films, will be
shown. Admission is free.
