The late Dr. Nelson Glueck, the one-time presi- dent of the Hebrew Union College, famous for his ar- chaeological work — espe- cially noted for his discovery of the site of the copper mines of King Solomon — had an interesting little ex- perience with this hospital- ity. One day Dr. Glueck was a guest at dinner of an Arab chieftain. Everything went along breezily until the end of the dinner. Then Dr. Glueck noted his host be- came very taciturn and even looked a bit sullen. The belch signifies to the host that the guest has not been shortchanged — that he has had a fully satisfying meal. "Let us have some coffee," said the Arab owner. The coffee was brought and the two drank. "How much rent do you want?" asked Haber. "Listen," said the Arab, "you want the building? It is yours. Jewish Education for Disabled Urged NEW YORK — Based on the belief that a quality Jewish education is as inte- gral to the development of a learning disabled child as it is for any other Jewish youngster, the Board of Jewish Education of Greater New York has started a new special educa- tion program, which will provide both assistance to ongoing Jewish special edu- cation programs, and organ- ize new classes where needed. Illegal Settlers Jailed for Break-In >-... JERUSALEM (JTA) — Police arrested 35 members of the militant Gush Emu- nim settlers movement after they tried to break into the. prime minister's office where the cabinet was meet- ing in special session on the current negotiations for a second-stage disengagement accord in Sinai. All were released after questioning.
