n ay, arc Streisand's 'Funny Lady' Movie Aids Philanthropies Barbra Streisand, rising to new heights in the revived role as Fannie Brice in "Funny Lady," which opened at the Northland Theater Wednesday, also became a vehicle for assist- ing important causes. The showing of "Funny Lady" was the occasion for a charity performance for the Children's Leukemia Foun- dfltion of Michigan Tuesday Night at the Northland Theater. On Sunday, a private showing coincided with a national performance in Washington, D.C. preceded by a TV special featuring Miss Streisand.
