Shaarey Zedek. This is the second lecture in the Spring Series under the auspices of Shaarey Ze- dek's cultural commission of which Maxwell Katzen and Mrs. Sidney Winer are co-chairmen. Author of "The Jews and American Politics," Isaacs has had wide exper- ience in investigating and interpreting the events occurring in the nation. His recently published book is the result of re- search concerning the role of the Jews in the political life of the United States. A 1959 graduate of Har- vard University, Isaacs was born into a family of writers and journalists. His father, after being executive editor of several large newspaper chains, has been editor-in-residence and associate dean of the Col- umbia School of Journal- ism. His mother, writing under her maiden name of Dorothy Ritz, has been writ- ing a syndicated column for the Los Angeles Times; an- other family member writes for the Washington Evening Star.
