Premiere to Aid Retarded
The premiere of Barbra
Streisand's newest movie;
"Funny Lady" will be held
8:45 p.m. March 9 at the
Northland Theater, South-
field, for the benefit of the
1975 International Special
Olympics (for mentally re-
tarded). - There will be a
champagne reception at
7:30.
The Detroit area premiere
will run simultaneously
with a premiere at Kennedy
Center, Washington, D.C.,

land Theater to view the
Streisand TV special on
monitors prior to the show-
ing of "Funny Lady."
Proceeds from the De-
troit area premiere go to
the 1975 International
Special Olympics, to be
held Aug. 7-11 at Central
Michigan University.
Some 3,000 mentally re-
tarded• children and adults
from every state and sev-
eral foreign countries are
expected to participate in
that event, being held for
the first time in Michigan.
