Young Israel Plans Events Hashachar Youth to Have Meeting 'Hashachar, the Zionist youth movement sponsored by Hadassah, will hold its opening meeting for 4thr7th graders March 2, at the 10 Mile branch of the Jewish Community Center. The program. will allow new members to affiliate with the oldest and- largest Zionist youth movement in the country. An educational Zionist youth movement, Hashachar seeks to educate and involve American Jew- ish youth in issues concern- ing ISrael and Judaism. The program for the younger age groups con- sists of twice monthly meetings. The meetings feature games, stories, arts and crafts projects, Israeli singing and danc- ing, and occasional discus- sions and socio-dramas. Special programs include a field trip, scouting day, or tobogganing party. Hashachar sponsors nu- merous summer programs, Israel tours and work-study programs.
