TORONTO (JTA) — A Jew-
ish employer was within his
rights when he fired a worker
who displayed a picture of Hit-
ler at his workplace, an arbitra-
tor ruled here.
Henry Zett, owner of the Nu-
Mode Dress Co. who had been
interned in a Nazi concentra-
tion camp, fired the employe
whose placing of Hitler's pic-
ture offended many of his co-
workers and Zett.
The arbitrator ruled that Zett
did not have to show cause for
the dismissal under a collective
bargaining agreement with the
International Ladies Garment
Workers Union. The employe,
whose name was not made pub-
lic, was awarded one week's pay
in lieu of notice.
