Under the supervision of the Council of Orthodox Rabbis

It was announced this week
that a family dinner will be
held Thursday honoring the
50th wedding anniversary of
Anton and Helen Rosenfeld of
Oak Park .
A shower of trees planted
in Israel through the Jewish
National Fund also will mark
their anniversary.
The Rosenfelds were mar-
ried Feb. 15, 1924 in Satmar,
Romania after Mr. Rosen-
feld helped officiate at De-
troit's Cong. Bnai Moshe's
High Holy Day services. Fol-
lowing his marriage, he be-
came cantor at the synago-
gue in 1925, and held that
post for 14 years. He then
held the same post at Cong.
Shaar Hashomayim in Wind-
sor for four years.
Mr. Rosenfeld left the can-
torate for the insurance bus-
iness.
The Rosenfelds have long
been active in the Zionist Or-
ganization of Detroit, the
Jewish National Fund and
Keren Kayemet. They plant-
ed a forest in Israel in 1965,
and Mrs. Rosenfeld has en-
rolled more than 150 mem-
bers into the Women of JNF
in the last five years.

Without becoming revolutionary!

Muenster Casserole

NORMA BARACH

(Copyright, 1975, JTA, Inc.)

Often we have leftover
challa and need to put it to
good use. Combining the
challa with cheese, you'll
find that you can come up
with a very tasty casserole.

5 slices challa (about one inch
thick)
butter
3 or 4 ozs. shredded muenster
cheese
2 cups milk
1 tsp. salt
3 jumbo eggs
Butter challa on both sides of
each slice and cut into one-inch
squares. Grease a 2-quart cas-
serole dish. Put in a layer of
buttered challa squares, a layer
of cheese, more challa and then
more cheese. Mix milk, salt and
eggs and pour over top of cass-
erole. Set dish in a pan of hot
water. Preheat oven to 350 de-
grees. Bake uncovered about 65
minutes. Serves 4.
