With $1,000 Campaign Meeting

Purim Prayer Book Issued by Rabbis

NEW YORK—A new "Me-
gillat Esther," with introduc-
tion, new translation and
commentary by Rabbi Rob-
ert Gordis, has been pub-
lished by the Rabbinical As-
sembly for use in connection
with the celebration of Purim.

The new "Megillat Esther"
is distributed by the Ktav
Publishing House. For infor-
mation, write the Rabbinical
Assembly, 3080 Broadway,
New York, N.Y. 10027.

The 100- page booklet,
which includes the Purim
evening service, is designed
to be utilized in pre-Purim
study as well, to familiarize
Jews with the background of
the Book of Esther, the best
known and most popular of
the five Megillat (Scrolls) of
the Bible.

brothers of a single family
participated in a parachute
jump. Two of the four had
served in a parachute bri-
gade during the Yom Kip-
pur War. The other two had
just completed their training.
